Our college students successfully completed a 15-day internship training programme at Joy Innovations Private Limited in the domains of Robotics and 3D Printing.
The internship was designed to provide students with practical industry exposure and help them understand how modern technologies are used to design, develop and build real-world engineering projects.
During the programme, students received hands-on training in Arduino, microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, motors and servo motors. They learned how electronic components are connected, programmed and controlled to perform different robotic movements and functions.
As part of the internship project, the Robotics team successfully designed and built a robotic hand and a spider robot. Students actively participated in assembling electronic components, connecting motors and sensors, programming the Arduino board and testing the movements of the robots.
The 3D Printing team worked closely with the Robotics team by designing and printing the required robot body parts and structural components. Students learned how 3D printing can be used to convert a digital design into a physical product.

They also gained practical knowledge in:
- Arduino programming
- Microcontrollers and electronic circuits
- Sensors, actuators, motors and servo motors
- Robotic design and assembly
- 3D modelling using Tinkercad
- Preparing models using slicing software
- Operating a 3D printer
- Printing customised robot components
- Assembling and testing completed projects
Through this internship, students experienced the complete product-development process—from creating a digital 3D model and preparing it for printing to assembling, programming and testing the final robotic system.

The programme encouraged students to apply their classroom knowledge in a practical environment. It also helped them improve their technical skills, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving ability and confidence.
Upon successful completion of the internship, the students received their internship completion certificates from Joy Innovations Private Limited.
